Our Services

What is OT?

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a specialized area of therapy that focuses on helping children develop the skills necessary for daily living, learning, and play. The goal of OT is to enhance a child’s ability to participate in activities that are meaningful to them, whether at home, school, or in the community. OT addresses a wide range of developmental, physical, and sensory challenges, enabling children to participate fully in their everyday lives.

Our Occupational Therapists utilize a variety of frameworks and approaches during sessions including but not limited to:

-Sensory Integration

-The PLAY Project®

-DIR®/ Floortime

-Handwriting Without Tears®

-Reflex Integration

-Trauma Informed Care

-iLs (Integrated Listening Systems)

Evaluation

Our occupational therapy evaluation assesses your child's strengths and challenges to create a tailored treatment plan. We identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance your child's skills through our comprehensive evaluation. Our evaluations are typically between 60 to 90 minutes and a parent or caregiver must be present! The in-depth findings and individualized plan of care will be discussed via phone meeting following the evaluation.

Treatment

At Playful Paths Pediatric Therapy, our occupational therapy sessions focus on enhancing your child’s independence and participation in daily life — all through the power of play!

Using an evidence-based and holistic approach, we support the whole child — brain and body — to promote growth, confidence, and meaningful engagement. Each 50-minute, 1:1 session takes place in our sensory-rich clinic located in downtown Winter Garden, where children can climb, swing, jump, and explore in a space designed to make therapy feel like play!

We believe in the importance of family involvement. Our therapists provide guidance and resources to help families support their child’s growth and progress at home throughout treatment.
